Hello! We are thrilled to share A Cat Compound in Cihangir with you.

We created this book for a simple reason: we wanted to show the world an Istanbul

beyond the travel gloss. It was important to us to capture

at street level what we feel is the real city, because the beautiful, ancient soul

of this city is what we have fallen in love with.

We also created this book to support the city’s TNR program, inspired by

what we saw and told in the story. All proceeds from orders shipped to Turkey

are donated to local volunteer groups supporting the TNR program there.

This allows the readers to enjoy this beautiful book

while contributing to a cause that matters.

This book is dedicated to Istanbul, a city we fell in love with,
and to all the cats we met there – they’ve captured our hearts.

Special thanks to the beautiful documentary Kedi (2016) –
it’s what brought us to Istanbul in the first place.
